We are a young, small business in Bozeman, Montana that is eager to give back to our community.  Recently we were approached to help out with the Spring event "Hometown Heroes".  Hometown Hero's was held on April 18th at the Copper Spring Ranch in Bozeman, Montana.  The evening was spent with a member of Seal Team Six and Butte, Montana native Robert O'Neill.  Also, in attendance was compelling author and speaker Mary Todd, Congressman Ryan Zinke, Senator Steve Daines and RightNow Technologies Founder Greg Gianforte.  Topics ranged from the tragic but heroic story of Mary Todd to the condition of our country and the actions of our elected Montana representatives.  Robert O'Neill concluded the evening with his headlining message "Never Quit".  He told amazing stories of bravery and perseverance as he recounted life as a Navy Seal in training and in combat.  If you'd like to learn more about these influential leaders click on their name provided.

Our role in the event is not a heroic story like the men and women described above.  We simply did what we do best.  We created well designed objects with a 3D Printer.  The mission for "Hometown Heroes" was to design an object that would sit at the center of each guests table.  So we began by sculpting Neptune's Spear virtually in the computer.  Neptune's Spear or Poseidon's Trident was significant because it symbolizes the famous mission dubbed Operation Neptune Spear, which Robert O'Neill was influential in.  We also incorporated the Republican Symbol of an Elephant into the design of the Spear because the event was held by the Gallatin County Republican Central Committee.

Once conceptualized in the computer, we sent the digital file to the 3D Printer and began to grow 20 "blunted" Spears at a time in clear acrylic plastic.  Over 50 spears were donated for the event.  Each spear was airbrushed with a metallic gold finish and then left to dry for 24 hours.  The result, is a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art honoring the United States of America and the hero's who fight to defend it.

The nights event ended successfully!  3D Printing made it's way onto every table and there were only fifteen remaining when the night was over.  We also auctioned off a Gold 3D Printed Straight-Edge which made it's way into the hands of a new Straight-Edge convert.  Overall, we are very pleased to have been able to serve our community and look forward to more opportunities in the future.
